License — MacShield grants you a limited, non-transferable license to use the app on your own Mac devices subject to the purchase terms.
What MacShield Does and Does Not Do — MacShield can sound an alarm when selected triggers are detected while armed. It is a deterrent, not a theft guarantee, recovery service, or replacement for supervising your device.
Acceptable Use — Do not use MacShield unlawfully, to harass others, or in a way that creates unsafe or disruptive situations.
Purchases and Refunds — Purchases are processed through the placeholder Stripe checkout flow. Refund handling should be stated clearly before launch.
Updates — Free updates are provided for the current major version, subject to change as the product evolves.
Disclaimer of Warranties — MacShield is provided as-is without warranties of guaranteed theft prevention, uninterrupted operation, or fitness for every circumstance.
Limitation of Liability — To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacShield is not liable for stolen devices, lost data, indirect damages, or outcomes outside the app’s deterrent purpose.
Termination — Access may be terminated if these terms are violated or if use of the app creates legal or security concerns.
Governing Law — Governing law placeholder to be confirmed before launch.
Changes — These terms may be updated, and continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
